What's new in Signal
Shipped changes, newest first. Terse on purpose — this page shows cadence, it doesn't sell.
July 2026
- 21 Jul — Data & methodology page: live pipeline coverage, the provenance standard, and where validation stands — /data-methodology.
- 21 Jul — UI sweep: briefing modules reordered to read top-down, clearer empty states when a feed is off, phone-width header and module tabs fixed, small-text contrast raised to WCAG AA, and billing errors now shown inline.
- 21 Jul — The landing page now shows the briefing itself — a real render of the price-formation module, from the same public teaser data.
- 20 Jul — Signal launched. 30-day free trials open on the Community and Professional tiers.
- 20 Jul — Forward scenarios shipped: driver-based bands with a stated confidence tier and sourced, dated assumptions — never a single number. Forward confidence is capped below the backcast's.
- 20 Jul — Capacity-value forward bands got their own, separately stated uncertainty envelope, distinct from the price envelope.
- 19 Jul — Weather context switched to SILO (Queensland Government, CC BY 4.0, derived from Bureau of Meteorology observations) — a source licensed for commercial use and attributed as required.
- 19 Jul — Pipeline-health panel now reads gated feeds as gated rather than erroring for logged-out visitors.
- 18 Jul — Counterfactual backcast run under a pre-registered, locked protocol; the result is published in-product, predicted-versus-actual per metric, and the briefing shows bounded ranges, never point estimates.
- 18 Jul — Per-field provenance landed in the price contract: every figure carries sourced / derived / heuristic and cites its source file.
