Data licences & attribution
Every source Signal ingests, with its licence and the attribution it obliges. Signal holds no personal data. We honour robots.txt and terms of use, diff-detect listing pages, and fetch at a deliberately conservative rate.

Climate data — what it is, and what it is not
Signal sources climate data from SILO (Queensland Government), not directly from the
Bureau of Meteorology. SILO's Data Drill is a gridded product: values are spatially
interpolated to a point, not raw observations from a station at that location. Each value
carries SILO's own source code so the interpolation is visible rather than implied, and the
method is sourced because Signal publishes SILO's number unmodified.
Daily, not intraday. SILO publishes daily values. Signal's weather use is day-shaped, so daily fits. Any module needing intraday weather is a new source decision — not something to interpolate out of daily values.
This feed is live and provenance-complete but currently has no consumer: it is not wired into any published figure, and is deliberately not backfitted into the counterfactual backcast, whose matching is immutable.
WA Gas Bulletin Board — User Agreement
The GBB portal presents a click-through Gas Bulletin Board WA (GBB) User Agreement in addition to AEMO's umbrella Copyright Permissions. In substance: AEMO is not responsible for GBB Content and you rely on it at your own risk; content comes from market participants and is not screened by AEMO and is "not of market settlements quality"; AEMO and Content Providers accept no liability for loss arising from use or inability to use the board. It contains no redistribution or licensing grant — it is a liability instrument, not a copyright licence. Archived verbatim as a source object.
No gas price is published
WA has no liquid public delivered-gas price index, so Signal carries gas volumes as sourced data and treats delivered price as an explicit, labelled user input rather than asserting a market price it cannot source.
